Naughtier each day ..

He is learning very quickly and that also means he is starting to misbehave by wanting things his way.

Just disturb him at the wrong time and he won't even bother looking at you. That's what I get all the time. Terrible treatment.

Night feeding becomes quite a nightmare because either he falls asleep while drinking his milk or he just keeps pushing himself away from you in a rebellious manner. Sandy scolds him at times and threatens to spank his butt. In response, his eyes will well up with tears and both of us will just burst out laughing rather than being frustrated.

He too joins in with the laughing.

In another three weeks, he will be scheduled to do his round of immunization once more.

Solid food...

Five months old and we are introducing him to the world of solid food. No longer just a quick dabble on ice cream or fruit but a quarter bottle of organic purée - winter squash.

I can remember how he started with only 30 ml of milk and he struggled initially to finish that amount but today, he drinks 240ml and he always wants more after finishing what his Dr Browns bottle can actually hold.

Today, 10.10.10 Luca savours the taste of winter squash, a mix of fruit purée meant for babies. I would perhaps try the taste of it someday but I think it'll be tasteless for an adult.

His first encounter was surely a yummy time for him. He keeps asking for more and leaves his mouth open waiting for the next spoonful of food into his mouth.

Looks like in another two months, he'll likely sit on the same table with us on his high chair and partake in a full meal with us. Can't wait for that to happen but am sure it'll be a huge mess when he starts feeding himself. ; )

Five months ...

The coming week marks Luca's fifth month and he seems to be getting more playful each day.

It is a good sign when boys are naughty and active because that's when they learn and grow.

Today we brought the rascal for baby spa and we could tell he enjoyed the swim session. Who wouldn't love a private pool?
