Sandy's fallen ill with influenza. She feels a little feverish but with no clear indication of slightly higher temperature on the thermometer that was placed under her tongue. Weird.
Come to think of it, do we really have full control of our body system and reign over our antibodies commanding them how to fight intruding viruses or germs? For those of you who have played the PC game Command & Conquer, you will definitely react if an enemy is attacking from the left, front or back and you will defend your base by sending your troops to shield of the opponent's infiltrating army .
Give it a thought, can we do all these since we claim that the body is ours? Can we send the correct amount of anitbodies to ward off whatever bacteria is damaging our system? Likely not I suppose, only to a minimum extent of having to take a course of medication.
We have totally no control of what's going on in the system. We can never stop a corn from growing between the toes, a black hair from turning grey, a pimple from popping up or a tumour from forming in the brains. There is no control of any sort, perhaps only God can explain ...
